Lucy’s Pantry (an initiative by Bluuprint CIC) welcomed the community for Bluuprint CIC’s 5th annual Caring Christmas event on Friday, 19 December 2025.
Organised by Bluuprint CIC, this annual event has taken place for the past five years to support families and individuals in Walsall during the festive season, strengthening community connections.
Lucy’s Pantry Walsall has served over 1,500 households since opening in 2021 and was proud to open its doors to the community this Christmas through the Caring Christmas initiative. The Pantry provides access to affordable and healthy food while tackling food insecurity and offers a warm, welcoming space for families to receive support and build connections with one another.
This year’s Caring Christmas event brought the community together with 120 Christmas gifts for children, 100 food parcels, 100 toiletries bags for residents, and 75 hot Christmas lunches. Attendees also enjoyed a festive raffle, including a £25 gift card and other prizes generously donated by WHG, as well as children’s activities, creating a joyful and inclusive atmosphere for all.
Lucy’s Pantry acted as a donation drop-off point in the lead-up to the event, alongside organisations such as Manor Farm Association and TSB Bank Walsall. On the day, a total of 22 volunteers, including Lucy’s Pantry volunteers and staff from WHG, Capita, Rosetinted Financial Services, helped prepare food parcels, distribute items, and run activities, ensuring the event was a success.

Lisa Lucy, Founder of Bluuprint CIC, said:
“Caring Christmas is an annual opportunity to show our community that no one should feel alone at Christmas. Hosting the event at Lucy’s Pantry Community Grocery Shop allows families to access support in a welcoming space while connecting with neighbours and volunteers. This is also an opportunity for us to identify who's in need and continue our support for the vulnerable through our pantry.”
Joan, Manager of Lucy’s Pantry, said:
“This was the first event I had the pleasure in helping to organize for the pantry. It was full of fun and laughter from doing the shopping and wrapping gifts for children. All our volunteers worked so hard to make sure the event went ahead without any hiccups. On the day it was lovely to see so many members of the community come together and enjoy the spirit of Christmas enjoyed by all. It was a very successful day and enjoyed by all. I am looking forward to arranging more groups and events for the pantry throughout 2026.”
Lucy’s Pantry remains committed to addressing food insecurity in Walsall, ensuring residents have access to affordable, nutritious food, essential items, and practical support. Beyond providing groceries, the Pantry offers a welcoming space where families can connect with their community, gain guidance, and feel valued and supported throughout the year.
Winter Support for Families
Through Bluuprint's Winter Support Fund, Lucy’s Pantry will continue to provide essential food and support to vulnerable families and individuals throughout the colder months. Our space will also serve as a warm hub every Thursday from 10:00–12:00 in January and February, hosting activities, offering refreshments, and providing a safe, welcoming environment for the community to come together.
